A Taste of Tuscan Arts offers a holiday with a difference!
Accommodation will be arranged at the Villa Rosalena, in one of the spacious villas overlooking the village, providing a quiet and relaxing haven for guests. From here we will run our music /drama workshops where we will give an insight into Italian song and opera, culminating in a visit to the Puccini Festival to see a production of one of Puccini’s operas. The festival is an annual event which takes place at the newly built outdoor theatre at Torre del Lago. This romantic lake - side setting is the perfect venue for performances of some of the most romantic operas ever written.
Courses run at other times of the year will revolve around concerts/theatre performances in nearby Lucca.
The optional art workshops will explore the use of colour as well as providing instruction on drawing techniques, and will be related to the underlying theme of the course.
Italian conversation classes or beginners’ Italian will be organized to suit the needs of clients.
Tutors are experienced and enthusiastic practising artists/linguists and aim to provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for guests of all ages, interests and skills.
Bagni di Lucca is within easy reach of Pisa airport, and there will be visits to the nearby medieval walled city of Lucca, and to Florence.
There will also of course be time to relax round the pool or visit the local spa, and we will spend some time in Montecarlo where we will visit one of the many fattorias for wine and olive-oil tasting.
The cost is from £890 per person based on sharing a room, and includes tuition and materials, accommodation including most meals and transport within Italy. A £200.- deposit is requested to confirm the booking.
